Tropical Rainforest?
A tropical rainforest is located close to the equator (the imaginary line around the center of the earth), in particular in between the Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn. Tropical Rainforests can be found in around 85 countries. The climate in a tropical rainforest can be described as warm and wet or 'humid'. The average temperature is 20 degrees celsius and it receives around 250cm- 450cm of rain a year.
Amazon Rainforest?
The Amazon rainforest or ‘Amazonia’, named after the river which flows through it, the Amazon River, is the largest rainforest in the world and is located in South America; in a large variety of countries, especially Brazil. This rainforest lies inside the Amazon River’s basin. Therefore, another name for it is ‘The Amazon Basin Forest’
